Forget-Me-Knot

Come and support me in my next outing as the amnesiac Robert Zeinfeld in David Tristram's comedy 'Forget-Me-Knot'.

It will be performed for 3 days at The Customs House in South Shields starting Monday 27th September 2010.

"Imagine the plight of poor Robert Zeinfeld. Found wandering the streets at 4am, without even the slightest clue how he got there. Total amnesia! Only a bruised head and a suspicious policeman for company. Perhaps this Zeinfeld character is not what he seems. Perhaps he's got something to hide. Perhaps he hasn't lost his memory at all?

The trouble is, the deeper the policeman digs, the more confused he gets, until he finds himself wrestling a plot with more twists and turns than a buckled slinky."

Tape

I will be playing Vince, the down and out drug dealing/volunteer fireman, in Stephen Belber's "Tape" at The Royalty Theatre, Sunderland for one night only!

The show starts at 7:30pm on Saturday 26th June 2010.

"Three friends from high school revisit a shocking event ten years before. Ruthless accusations, festering resentment and unresolved sexual jealousies are exposed. "Tape" is an unsettling drama about the love-hate chemistry that endures between friends."

Finders Keepers

My next theatrical outing will be as Paul Fishman in the original stage play "Finders Keepers".

It will initially be a one night only performance on the 26th April at The Customs House in South Shields, if all goes well then possibly a longer run later in the year.

"Finders Keepers is a dramatic thriller where the numbers don't lie but the players just might!

After finding a wallet in the street, 'Tepper' calls the owner in order to return it. After making the call however, he discovers that the lottery ticket inside is a $6 million winner. To add to things, his friends are on their way over for their weekly poker night and the group tradition is to bet their lottery tickets. When the wallet's owner shows up and joins the game, who will walk out as the winner?"

Burnings of the Heart

It's just been confirmed that I have recieved the lead roll of William Tyndale in the upcoming movie "Burnings of the Heart"

Exciting news and I'm very pleased.

Filming planned for late October.

Visit my showreel to watch the official trailer.

Tyndale in Tyneside

I recieved a last minute audition, in Gateshead, yesterday for a feature film called "Burning's of the Heart".

I had only one day to prepare for the lead character William Tyndale.

However, despite minimal time to prepare, I thought I gave an insightful and believeable portrayl and so I now wait with baited breath as to whether I will recieve the part.

"William Tyndale was a 16th-century Protestant reformer and scholar who translated the Bible into the Early Modern English of his day. Tyndale's was the first English translation to draw directly from Hebrew and Greek texts, and the first to take advantage of the new medium of print, which allowed for its wide distribution. In 1535, Tyndale was arrested, tried for heresy and burned at the stake. He was strangled before his body was burnt."

The Show Must Go On

One week prior to opening night, I recieved a call saying they were a man down and was I up for the part.

So I stepped into the breach to perform as Leonarto in William Shakespeare's 'Much Ado About Nothing'.

Game On

I had a great day shooting the movie "Ways to Live Forever" with the beautiful Emilia Fox and the astounding Ben Chaplin (aka Matthew Malone from the BBC sitcom "Game On").

"It is the story of Sam. He is a boy who likes facts. He's also interested in UFOs and ghosts - and death. He has terminal leukaemia, and is going to die. And dying is a fact of life. The no-nonsense questions that he asks about death demistify the taboos, and make this funny, sad, honest, tender movie a life-enhancing experience."

This touching drama will hit cinemas in 2010.

Bones

I can next be seen in Peter Straughan's "Bones", in which I will be playing the part of, wannabe hardman, Beck. The show is set in a porn cinema in 1960's Gateshead. The business in on the brink of failure and the owners, two Jewish brothers, owe a large sum of money to a local gangster. But their problems seem over when one of them kidnaps Reggie Kray.

This one week run takes place at The Royalty Theatre in Sunderland on Monday 5th through to Saturday 10th October 2009.

If I Only Had A Brain

Rehearsals are underway for my next show "The Wizard of Oz", in which I will be playing the Scarecrow. The show is the RSC version of L. Frank Baum's popular Oz story and is almost identical to the movie made famous by Judy Garland, Ray Bolger and Burt Lahr.

This two day run takes place at The Sunderland Empire Theatre on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd July 2009, including a matinée performance on the Thursday. So follow the yellow brick road and join me in Oz for this family favourite.
